The new Trop50 blows. Especially compared to expectations of drinking the regular Tropicana pulp free orange juice. I didn't know what I was buying, I saw pulp free and snagged the carton, because it was on sale. I did find it odd that the carton was taller and thinner than usual. To my dismay, this is how Pepsi differentiates between the Trop50 and regular Tropicana.
Why does it blow? It tastes like water downed orange juice, but with a terribly artificial aftertaste (my guess is that this is from the PureVia sweetener, an extract of the stevia plant). The only good news is that it still has 100% vitamin C per serving. So it still serves my intended purpose of hydrating while attacking this lingering cold I've been having.
Verdict: Stick with the golden nectar of regular Tropicana.
